By making payments as early as possible we all can avoid artificial wait times for letting payments go through, transfer times, etc... it does indeed speed up the entire process. It's always fun when banks, card companies, merchant gateways etc all make "electronic" transfers take days unless you pay them more to speed things up, it must be because electrons are that much slower unless they have that extra money for motivation.
